With many attractions in Venezuela, from hiking to visiting historic sites, you'll surely have a memorable experience!

Caracas

A city that is vibrant, friendly, and with exhuberant nature.

Caracas is the capital city of Venezuela, set in a beautiful valley overlooked by Avila Mountain (or "Waraira Repano") that is very popular for hiking in the weekends. It was founded by the Spanish in 1567, on a site once inhabited by  several indigenous groups such as the Toromaimo, the Teques,  the Mariches, and the Caracas, among others.

This is a city of great contrasts, excellent food, and edgy nightlife. There are some good museums, fine architecture and the best galleries in South America such as the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo and the Galeria de Arte Nacional.

Close to great beaches, Caracas has the venezuelan culture on the streets, the clothes, the habits. Sabana Grande is the city’s main artery. The Las Mercedes and Altamira districts are close to restaurants and night clubs. And above all — you can taste the delicious arepas with cheese anywhere!

Ciudad Bolívar

The capital of the Bolívar State lies on a small hill on the south bank of the Orinoco River.

Ciudad Bolívar, in the narrowness of the Orinoco River, constitutes a cultural landscape located in the shores of the third mightiest river of the world, the Orinoco, and in the Imataca Complex, a rocky platform of 3,400 million years of age, which makes it the oldest geological formation in the planet.

This city has beautiful Colonial style houses and  a fascinating history. It was founded in 1764 as San Tomás de la Nueva Guayana de la Angostura. In 1846, the name was changed to honour the Venezuelan liberator, Simón Bolívar. The bark of a local tree contributed to the flavour and medicinal qualities of Angostura bitters, invented by Bolívar’s Prussian physician in 1824. The bitters were manufactured in Ciudad Bolívar until 1875.

It also contains a remarkable and valuable heritage. That is the case of the “Puente de Angostura” (Bridge of Angostura), located on the granite outcrops of the Imataca Complex, and considered one of the greatest modern bridges of the world, as well as the greater suspended bridge of South America . Also, the “Museo de Arte Moderno Jesús Soto” (Museum of Modern Art Jesus Soto), created as a tribute to Ciudad Bolivar’s most famous local artist, Master of the kinetic art.

Ciudad Guayana

Situated at the confluence of the Caroni and Orinoco Rivers in the Bolívar State.

This is a city surrounded by beauty spots and eco tourism complexes. It is also near one of the oldest rock formations in the world called "Macizo Guayanés", with its flat top mountains.

The area was first claimed for Spain by the explorer Diego de Ordaz  in 1532. The original settlement of Santo Tomé de Guayana was founded in 1576 on the Chirica tableland, where the Republicans in the war for independence defeated Spanish Royalists at the Battle of San Félix in 1817.

It is one of the biggest cities after Caracas and where industries connected to minerals are located. This has contributed to the formation of a great number of grass root movements, urban and rural.
